Actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor were the latest guests on ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 8. The duo impressed everyone as they spilled the beans on their professional and personal lives.
During the show, Aditya talked about Kartik Aaryan headlining 'Aashiqui 3'.

When Karan Johar asked the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actor what it feels like when somebody else takes their franchise forward, Aditya shared that Kartik is ‘perfect’ for the role. He also explained there is no chance he could have made a comeback in part three of Anurag Basu’s musical.

‘There was no chance I could be in this, because in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning,’ Aditya said. He then added, ‘So I feel like it’s great. I died ya. Where will I come back now? My spirit will come bac’.”
When Karan jokingly said, ‘He’ll haunt Kartik Aaryan,’ Aditya replied, ‘Yeah, he’s hovering over Kartik Aaryan. He’s the villain.’

About ‘Aashiqui 3’
‘Aashiqui’ starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal in the lead and hit theatres in July 1990.
The sequel of the movie was headlined by Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. It was released in April 2013. Kartik Aaryan announced the third part of the franchise in September 2022.

Later, talking to Variety about Aashiqui 3, Kartik said, ‘The timeless classic Aashiqui is something I grew up watching, and working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will shape me in many ways.’

It was recently reported that Kartik Aaryan is likely to reunite with his former girlfriend Sara Ali Khan for ‘Aashiqui 3’.
