SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ will have a nationwide re-release in the US. Variance Films, the distribution firm, has decided to bring back the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer to theatres this February due to film’s growing popularity.
Ahead of the Oscars 2023 nominations, Variance Films took to Twitter to share this news with the audience. ‘We have no idea what's going to happen with nominations tomorrow, but we do know the best part about the #RRRMovie experience has been seeing the joy the film has brought to moviegoers around the world, and then seeing what joy those reactions have brought the filmmakers (sic),’ the firm tweeted ‘Whether it gets all the nominations or none of them tomorrow, we're bringing #RRRMovie back out nationwide to theaters this February. No shade to Netflix but while it's great anytime, it's what movie theaters were built for, so back to the theaters we go (sic),' Variance Films added. They also revealed that more details and surprises are in store.
‘RRR’ has been submitted in 14 categories, including Best Picture, at the Academy Awards 2023.
SS Rajamouli's film won a Golden Globes 2023 in the Best Original Song category and now fans are waiting to see if its iconic song ‘Naatu Naatu’ will earn a nomination for Best Song at Oscars 2023.
The nominations for Oscars 2023 will be announced on January 24 at 7 pm.
