Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her 50th birthday on November 1 and on the special occasion, she attended an event with her daughter Aaradhya and mother Vrinda Rai, which was organised for the welfare of cancer patients.

To everyone's surprise, Aaradhya delivered a moving speech for the first time in public and heaped praise on her mother.

‘I feel that what my darling, my life, my mom is doing is truly important and truly wonderful. It’s truly enriching and fulfilling. It’s helping the world, it’s helping everyone around us, it’s helping people and I just want to say, what you are doing is truly incredible,’ Aaradhya said in her speech.

Aaradhya took a bow while the audience clapped and Aishwarya was pleasantly surprised.

For the event, Aishwarya was dressed in a white chikankari salwar suit.

The actor cut a cake at the event and shared it with her mother and Aaradhya. When photographers suggested Aaradhya feed her mother, Aishwarya revealed that she was fasting for Karwa Chauth.

Abhishek Bachchan was visibly missing from the event due to a work schedule. The event was not attended by other Bachchan family members either.

Later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. She was joined by her mother and her daughter.

On Aishwarya's birthday, celebrities, including Anushka Sharma, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh, extended their birthday wishes to her on social media.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in the historical action drama 'Ponniyin Selvan: II'. The movie was released in two parts. The first part emerged as a significant box office success and became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films.

Meanwhile, Aaradhya will turn 12 years old on November 16.
