Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan have come together to star in the Hindi remake of the superhit Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. The untitled film began its filming today with the traditional muhurat shot.
Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram handle and shared a video of the film’s muhurat shot. In the video, Radhika Madan is seen breaking the auspicious coconut. Akshay captioned the video as, "With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes (sic)."
Radhika wore a red saree and sported braided hair during the muhurat shot, while Akshay Kumar held the clapboard.
The original film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ (in Tamil) was written and directed by Sudha Kongara, who will also be directing the Hindi remake. The original film starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles.
