Bollywood star Akshay Kumar may soon be roped in to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of actor Suriya's 2020 'digital blockbuster' 'Soorarai Pottru'.
As per reports in entertainment portal, Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the lead in the film inspired by the life of Air Deccan founder Capt G R Gopinath.
Reportedly, Akshay has been in talks for this film for the past six months and, despite giving his verbal approval last year, he has only recently signed on the dotted line.
The Hindi remake will most likely be set in North India, and Sudha Kongara Prasad, who directed the original Tamil film, will also direct the Bollywood remake.
According to reports, Akshay will begin filming for this film after completing the shoot for his recently announced film 'Selfiee' with Emraan Hashmi whose filming is expected to begin in February.
