Following his absence at the Ram Mandir consecration in Ayodhya in January, Akshay Kumar made an appearance at the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple in UAE, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present.

In footage shared by ANI's official account, Akshay Kumar is captured arriving at the BAPS Hindu Temple in the UAE. He is accompanied by a robust security detail. For the occasion, he was observed donning a light kurta.

Accompanying him were various Indian celebrities, including Grammy Award-winning music composer Shankar Mahadevan.

While filming for a movie in Jordan last month during the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on January 22, Akshay Kumar shared a video on Instagram. In the video, he, along with Tiger Shroff and the crew of the film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, could be seen enthusiastically chanting ‘Ram!’ from the sets in Jordan.

Other celebrities at the event

Dilip Joshi, Vivek Oberoi, Shankar Mahadevan among others attended the BAPS event.

Shankar told ANI, ‘This is an extremely happy moment for India and all Indians all over the world. This is a historic moment in our lives where we are going to witness a Mandir which is so magnificent and spiritual coming on a land like Abu Dhabi. Only our PM Narendra Modi can execute this.’

Dilip Joshi spoke to ANI and said, ‘Even after seeing this, it is difficult to believe that such a beautiful BAPS temple has been constructed. I was present here when the foundation stone of this temple was laid by PM Modi. The Ruler of Dubai has a big heart, he gave the land and permission to construct this temple. I pray that the message of harmony is spread across the world from this temple.’
