Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his film 'Samrat Prithviraj,' co-starring Manushi Chillar. At a recent press meeting for his upcoming movie, the actor voiced his opinion on the ongoing North-South debate and said that he hates it when there is distinction within the industry.
'I hate when someone says, 'south industry' and 'north industry'. We are all one industry. The day we understand that we all are one industry, things will start working in the right direction.' he said.
Akshay called his experience of working with Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood 'unbelievable.'
'Unbelievable is the term that I would associate to describe the performances of Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt saab,' he said.
Akshay also spoke about his expectation from the historical drama at the box office and said, 'Not just 'Samrat Prithviraj', I sincerely hope that every film should work at the box office.'
This film marks the Bollywood debut of former beauty queen Manushi Chhillar.
'Samrat Prithviraj' has been produced by Yash Raj Films. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, and Sakshi Tanwar in pivotal roles.
Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi's directorial, 'Samrat Prithviraj,' will be released in theatres on June 3, 2022.
