Alia Bhatt says she will change her name to Alia Bhatt Kapoor, 'I am happy to do it’

Alia Bhatt the ’Shanaya’ of Bollywood industries is all over the headlines this year, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April 2022. While working together on the sets of 'Brahmastra' the love birds fell for each other and dated before finally taking the step. The couple is expecting their first child as announced in late June this year.

In a recent conversation with Mid-Day, Alia Bhatt talked about adding the Kapoor surname legally however, her screen name will remain the same. 'Firstly, I have not even had the time to add the fact that I have a husband on my passport. He has promptly gone and done that. I am still in the process because I have been travelling so much. I have been to London for two months and I will be travelling more. When there is so much travel, I cannot give my passport for any submission.' 
She added 'But I will be doing it (adding the Kapoor surname). I have to add all these things. I am happy to do it. Since we are going to have a child together. I don't want to be the Bhatt while the Kapoors are travelling together. I don't want to feel left out. So when I travel on the documents I don't want to be the left out,'

Meanwhile, on the work front, she will be next seen in 'Brahmastra' alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and an Ayan Mukerji directorial.
