Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, is creating a storm at the box office. As per Sacnilk, the film has managed to earn ₹40 crore on its fourth day, after registering over ₹60 crore figures every day since its release on Friday.
After collecting ₹39.9 crore on Monday, as per early estimates, Animal has grossed ₹241 crore in India so far. These include ₹63.8 crore on the opening day, ₹66.27 crore on Saturday, and ₹71.46 crore on Sunday. On comparison, the year's biggest hit Jawan had earned ₹30 crore on its first Monday. The worldwide total of Pathaan is currently at Rupees 1100 crore.
Bobby Deol, who plays the antagonist in the film, is well-appreciated by the audience. Talking about his role in the film, the actor said, ‘I wanted to play a character which was out of my comfort zone. I want it to be more challenging because it brings the best out of a person and I think that's what happened to me.’
‘Animal’ is a revenge drama described as ‘a father-son bond carved in blood.’ The film also stars and Anil Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles.
