The Censor Board has granted an Adults Only (A) certification to Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' but requested alterations. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is tasked with implementing five changes, including shortening intimate scenes. A leaked certificate specifies the removal of close-up shots involving characters Vijay and Zoya at TCR 02:28:37.

The directive hints at the possible names for Ranbir and Rashmika's roles. Vanga had previously suggested intimate scenes through the song ‘Hua Main.’ Additionally, the Censor Board requested the replacement of the Hindi term ‘vastra’ with ‘costume.’

In an interview with The Hindu, the director expressed contentment over 'Animal' receiving an A certificate, emphasizing that the film targets an adult audience exclusively. He mentioned refraining from taking his own son to view the film.

Spanning 3 hours and 23 minutes, 'Animal' initially clocked at around 3 hours 45 or 46 minutes. The filmmaker diligently edited it down to 3 hours 21 minutes. Discussing the film's duration, he highlighted its engaging nature, crediting Ranbir Kapoor's exceptional performance for keeping the audience captivated throughout. He stated that his objective is fulfilled when the producer is assured of not just recouping the investment but also turning a profit.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, 'Animal' is  a narrative centered on a strained father-son relationship. Anil Kapoor portrays the emotionally distant father, while Ranbir Kapoor embodies the role of a deeply scarred and enraged son.

The trailer launch in Delhi featured Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Vanga. During the press conference, Ranbir likened 'Animal' to Karan Johar’s 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,' describing it as an adult-rated version of the latter.

For Vanga, 'Animal' marks his second directorial venture in Bollywood, following the success of 'Kabir Singh' starring Shahid Kapoor. Notably, this film stands as the maiden collaboration between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor. Scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1, 'Animal' anticipates its debut on the big screen.
