Anupam Kher took to Twitter and shared a video of veteran actor Vikram Gokhale in which he is seen reciting a poem. The ‘Uunchai’ actor received the ‘incomplete’ video from Gokhale 12 days ago. Anupam offered his condolences in the caption, however, Vikram’s family confirmed on Thursday morning that the actor is very much alive, but continues to be critical and on ventilator.
‘I got this incomplete video from #VikramGokhale 12days back. I called him & told him that the poem is incomplete. He laughed & replied, “Life incomplete है मेरे दोस्त!” News of his death has deeply saddened me. He was a very dear friend! BRILLIANT actor & person! ओम शांति!,’ he wrote.
Vikram Gokhale has reportedly been in the hospital since November 5.
His wife Vrushali shared that he was suffering from multiple organ failure and is ‘not responding to treatment as expected’ as he remains on the ventilator.
Vikram Gokhale is currently at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune.
Vikram Gokhale started his career in Marathi theatre. He has appeared in various Hindi and Marathi films. He was last seen in 'Nikamma', starring Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Desai.
