Anushka Sharma was seen at the Mumbai airport on September 4 morning, marking her return to India for the second time since the birth of her son, Akaay Kohli, in London.

She is reportedly in Mumbai for an event scheduled on September 6.

Anushka arrived alone, without her husband, Virat Kohli, or their children.

Videos of her arrival have been widely shared online.

Anushka is seen in an all-black outfit, smiling and waving at the paparazzi. Before entering her car, she posed for photos, completing her look with dark glasses and a neat bun. Her unexpected return delighted fans, with some commenting, ‘Finally my favorite actress is back.’

This isn't Anushka Sharma's first visit to India since Akaay's birth; she previously came to attend an IPL match and support her husband, Virat Kohli.

Her current visit is expected to be shorter as she is traveling alone, without her family. There are ongoing rumours that Anushka and Virat plan to permanently move to London after Kohli retires from cricket.

Anushka and Virat Kohli announced they have welcomed a boy in February 2024. Anushka took to her Instagram handle and revealed they had named the boy Akaay.

‘With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world!’ the couple announced.

Anushka Sharma’s work front

On the work front, Anushka was last seen in the 2018 film Zero, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She was set to return with the Netflix film Chakda Xpress, a biopic on cricketer Jhulan Goswami. However, the film's release is reportedly delayed due to a dispute between Netflix and the production company run by Anushka’s brother, Karnesh Sharma.
