Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen on a video call on July 2. Virat, stranded in Barbados after a hurricane during the T20 World Cup finals, showed Anushka the chaotic rains from the hotel lobby in a video circulating online.

During the weekend, Virat and Anushka charmed everyone with an adorable moment after India clinched the T20 World Cup trophy. Viral videos captured Virat on a video call with Anushka and their children, Vamika and Akaay, celebrating the victory together. Virat was also seen making faces, presumably while interacting with his kids during the call.

After the match, Anushka wrote a heartfelt post congratulating Team India on their victory. She shared photos of the team's emotional celebrations and mentioned their daughter's concern about players needing hugs, reassuring her they were embraced by 1.5 billion people. 

‘Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!!,’ she wrote.

Anushka also dedicated a post to Virat, expressing her love and gratitude, while Virat, after announcing his retirement from International T20, penned a moving note thanking Anushka for her support and honesty.

‘I love this man @virat.kohli . So grateful to call you my home – now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this !” Virat, who announced his retirement from the International T20 format, also penned a moving note for Anushka. He wrote, “None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma,’ she wrote.
