Popular singer Arijit Singh recently performed at a concert in Dubai where he sang the song ‘Zaalima’ from Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raess’, but he failed to recognise Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, on whom the song was picturised. Mahira was sitting in the front row of the same concert.

Shortly after, Arijit gave her a shoutout and apologized. The moment was captured on camera by fans and is now going viral on social media.

In a video circulating on social media, Arijit Singh is seen introducing Mahira Khan to the audience. He says, ‘You guys might be surprised, should I reveal? Let me reveal it nicely. Can we have the camera there? I was trying to recognize this person, then remembered I had sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen, Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. Imagine, I was singing her song 'Zaalima,' and it’s her song, and she was singing along, and I couldn’t recognize her. I am so sorry. Ma'am, gratitude and thank you so much.’

Mahira, looking stunning in a black outfit, smiled at the sweet gesture and waved to the audience.
