Bappi Lahiri's last Insta post was a throwback picture of the disco king

The nation has lost another legend from the music industry. Bappi Lahiri passed away at the age of 69. He had been in hospital for a month, where he was being treated for multiple health-related issues.

The legend had shared a throwback picture of himself just two days before his death on his Instagram handle. The singer and music composer was dressed in his signature style - with sunglasses and a gold chain - and he wrote, "Old is always gold".

Apart from his contribution to Indian film music industry, Bappi Da will always be remembered for his signature style. He has been often spotted wearing gobs of gold chains and a pair of sunglasses in his public appearances.

Credited as the pioneer of disco music in Bollywood, Bappi Lahiri's evergreen music is cherished till date. 'Disco Dancer', 'Raat Baaki Baat Baaki' and 'Koi Yahan Nache Nache' are popular tracks composed by the disco legend.
