From ‘Bawaal’ to ‘The Witcher: Season 3’, here’s a look at some top OTT releases.
‘Blind’ (Jio Cinema, July 7)
This thrilling crime drama will mark Sonam Kapoor’s digital debut. The movie will premiere on JioCinema on July 7.
The Shome Makhija directorial also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey, and Shubham Saraf. This will also mark Sonam Kapoor’s first film after ‘The Zoya Factor’ in 2019.
IB 71 (Disney Plus Hotstar, July 7)
Vidyut Jammwal's espionage thriller will make its debut on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 7. The Sankalp Reddy directorial stars Jammwal as an Intelligence Officer.
The film also stars Anupam Kher, Vishal Jethwa, Faizan Khan among others.
Survival of the Thickest (Netflix, July 13)
The comedy-drama, which is based on Michelle Buteau’s book of the same name, will premiere on Netflix on July 13.
The show is about a woman who attempts to rebuild her life after heartbreak, while also fighting body shaming and other life struggles.
The Trial (Disney Plus Hotstar, July 14)
The courtroom drama, which marks Kajol’s digital debut, will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 14. The web show, directed by Suparn Varma, is the Indian adaptation of ‘The Good Wife’, which starred Julianna Margulies in the lead role.
The show follows the journey of Noyonika Sengupta, a housewife, who is forced to return to work as a lawyer after her husband’s public scandal puts him in jail.
‘Bawaal’ (Prime Video, July 21)
The romantic drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will reportedly premiere on July 21 on Prime Video.
‘Bawaal’ will premiere worldwide in over 200 countries and territories
The film is supposedly a timeless love story that will require Varun and Janhvi’s characters to travel across multiple countries.
This film marks Nitesh and producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s second collaboration after the success of the National Award-winning film ‘Chhichhore’ (2019).
