Fans are excited for the third installent of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise for many reasons and one of them is Vidya Balan, who will be seen reprising her iconic role. As the filming is underway, the ‘Kahaani’ actor opened up about her return as Manjulika and revealed that she is not trying to recreate what she had done before.
The excitement for the Kartik Aaryan starrer film peak when Vidya Balan’s return to the film was announced. The much-awaited film is currently under production and while the fans wait to see Anees Bazmee’s cinematic magic unfold on the big screen, Vidya Balan has spoken up about her return as Manjulika in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
In an interview with Mid-Day, the actor said, “It is a different time and a different me. The role may be the same, but it has changed (in its own way). My approach is fresh.”
The actor also shed light on the overwhelming response to her role in the first part of the film as well as to the news of her return. Vidya said, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa gave me so much. So, I felt, ‘Should I do another one in the franchise?’ The worry that the sequel won’t match up to the original always plays on an actor’s mind. But I have grown up. This is a completely different film, and there is so much to enjoy in it. I wanted to work with Anees bhai. I love the script, and because I was a part of the original, this is a whole different high.”
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ stars Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri in the significant roles. There is also buzz of Madhuri Dixit joining the cast. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror comedy will be release on Diwali 2024.
