Diwali is here and celebrities are attending lavish parties in the city, but superstar Salman Khan has opted out of the celebrations this year. The actor’s managed informed Hindustan Times that he has been diagnosed with dengue and is recovering well now.
Salman, who has been hosting Color TV’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss 16’, won’t be there in upcoming episode Weekend Ka War and filmmaker Karan Johar will step into his shoes. A new promo for the show features KJo inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Salman’s manager said he will resume work soon after his recovery.
‘Karan Johar is filling in for Salman. He will shoot for three episodes for 'Bigg Boss' including the Diwali special, which will air on Monday, besides Saturday and Sunday episodes,’ a source told Times Of India.
On the film front, Salman Khan is all set to bring back his magic on the big screen with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which releases on Eid 2023, and ‘Tiger 3’, co-starring Katrina Kaif, which will release on Diwali next year.
