Bipasha opens up about motherhood; reveals daughter had heart surgery

Actor Bipasha Basu, who welcomed first child, a baby girl, with husband Karan Singh Grover in November 2022, recently shared that her daughter Devi was born with two holes in her heart and she underwent a surgery when she was three months old.

Devi suffered ventricular septal defect (VSD) and her health battle began just three days after her birth.

During Instagram live chat with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha opened up about the challenging experience she and her husband faced as parents.

Describing the initial confusion and emotional turmoil, she expressed gratitude for the support she received from fellow mothers during this difficult time.

Bipasha said that first five months have been difficult for themthem but Devi has been fabulous from day one.

She said the operation went on for six hours and her life stopped when Devi was inside the operation theatre.

Bipasha was releaved when the surgery was successful.

Bipasha and Karan lovingly introduced their bundle of joy to the world as "Devi Basu Singh Grover," acknowledging her as a divine blessing and the embodiment of their love.

Having gained fame through iconic roles in Bollywood hits like Race, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Jism, Dhoom 2, Dum Maaro Dum, and Phir Hera Pheri, Bipasha Basu's journey as a mother adds another chapter of inspiration to her remarkable life story.
