'Brahmastra' has finally ended Bollywood's dry spell at the box office. The film has reportedly earned approximately Rs 16.25 crore on day 4, of which Rs 14.25 crore is from the Hindi markets and Rs 2 crore from the other language versions.
Dharma Productions has been sharing an update on the worldwide collections and they informed that the film earned whopping Rs 225 crore over the weekend.
The movie had fifth biggest start for a Bollywood film in the overseas markets after ‘Padmaavat’ ($11.50 million), ‘Dhoom 3’ ($10.30 million), ‘Sultan’ ($9.60 million), ‘Dilwale’ ($8.80 million) and ‘Dangal’ ($8.70 million) according to reports.
The film will soon become Ranbir Kapoor’s third film to cross Rs 150 crore mark after yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Sanju. The actor had Shamshera as his big-budget flop after Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos.
The Ayan Mukerji directorial is expected to cross Rs 250 crore mark in India and the worldwide earning might be around Rs 450 crore. The film reportedly had a production cost of Rs 410 crore and so the profits solely depend on ancillary revenue.
