'Brahmastra:' Director Ayan Mukerji introduces Mouni Roy as Junoon, trailer releases on June 15

The trailer of the much-talked-about film 'Brahmastra,' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is all set to be unveiled tomorrow. Ahead of its release, the makers have briefly introduced each character on social media.

Ayan Mukerji has shared the first look poster of Mouni Roy, who plays the main villain in the trilogy. His post introducing Junoon had a long note attached to it.

Ayan talked about Mouni joining the 'Brahmastra' team and called her a 'surprise package' in the film. He said that she understood the film very naturally and people are going to walk out of 'Brahmāstra' talking about her performance as Junoon.

He further revealed that Mouni was initially offered a 'special appearance’ but she eventually shot from the first day to the last schedule.

Next, meet Guru and his Prabhāstra - The Sword of Light. Ayan had discussed the film with Amitabh Bachchan in 2016. In his post, Ayan mentioned that Mr Bachchan loved the concept of the venture and changed the destiny of the film with his magnificent energy.


Let us now introduce you to Artist Anish, played by Nagarjuna. Ayan said the actor gave his fierce intensity to the film and touched the entire crew with his kindness and generosity.

Alia Bhatt plays the role of Isha, 'Shiva's Shakti' who is 'Beautiful. Fierce. Brave.'

Ranbir Kapoor features as Shiva, who is born with a certain strange connection with the fire.

'Brahmastra' will release in theatres on September 9.
