Cannes 2022: AR Rahman, Kamal Haasan and R Madhavan reconnect at festival

Music maestro AR Rahman shared a happy picture with superstar Kamal Haasan from the 75th Cannes Film Festival on social media. Sharing a selfie with the 'Vishwaroopam' actor, Rahman wrote: 'ThalaivARR and Aandavar,' referring to Haasan as Aandavar (God) and himself as the boss. In the picture, the music composer is seen wearing an all-black ensemble, while the actor is seen sporting a black and golden suit.

Elated to see the stars reuniting after a long time, fans took to the comments section and called them 'legends.' The fans also expressed their wish to see them work together again.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, who is leading the Indian delegation at the festival, also shared some fun pictures on his Twitter handle. Looking dapper in a white achkan, the minister was all smiles as he posed with R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shekhar Kapur, Vani Tripathi, and Ricky Kej.

R Madhavan looked elegant in his classic black suit designed by Manish Malhotra. He shared a picture on Instagram, captioned: 'Only @manishmalhotra05 Can make an already special and memorable day even more special. Thank you for making me feel so good about myself. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also shared a series of photos from the event on Instagram, captioned: 'From representing films from India to representing India. What an honour #cannes2022 @festivaldecannes @official.anuragthakur @shekharkapur #PrasoonJoshi @vanityparty @rickykej.'
Rajasthani singer Mame Khan was also a part of the Indian contingent led by the Information and Broadcasting Minister. He is the first folk artist from India to walk the Cannes red carpet.

For the unversed, India is the 'Country of Honour' at the prestigious festival which will be held from May 17 to May 28.
