Later, Ananya took to her Instagram stories to review ‘Chandu Champion’. Sharing the poster of the film, she wrote, ‘Outstanding. You have to see it to believe it,’ along with heart emojis for the cast and crew.
About ‘Chandu Champion’
‘Chandu Champion’ depicts the remarkable journey of a man who never gave up. Kartik Aaryan portrays the role of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, in the film.
To portray a freestyle swimmer convincingly in the film, Kartik underwent intense training, reducing his weight from 90 kgs to 72 kgs and his body fat from 39% to 7%. Recently, he shared a viral before-and-after transformation picture on social media, showcasing his journey from an 'insomniac' to a 'fitness enthusiast'.
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Kartik's trainer revealed that he started a 'program-based workout' with Kartik in 2022 for ‘Chandu Champion.’ At that time, the actor weighed as much as seen in the scrutinized picture. The trainer expressed his shock at Kartik's physical condition, saying, ‘In the beginning, I gave him some basic movements like squats, pull-ups, and push-ups, and he couldn’t do any of it! I knew that he had gained weight for Freddy but the fact that he couldn’t pull off even these basic movements really shocked me.’
Ananya Panday has a promising slate of projects in her lineup. She is set to star in the TV series ‘Call Me Bae’ alongside Varun Dhawan and Vir Das. The series follows the story of a billionaire fashionista who, after a scandalous controversy, is disowned by her ultra-rich family and must navigate life independently.
Ananya is also involved in projects such as ‘Control,’ ‘Battle Thy Seeds,’ ‘Darbadar,’ ‘Shankara,’ ‘The Untold Story Of C Sankaran Nair,’ And ‘Run For Young.’
