'Chandu Champion': Kartik Aaryan completes shoot for next; tastes sugar after a year | watch

Actor Kartik Aaryan has wrapped up the shoot for his next, titled ‘Chandu Champion’.

Kartik took to Instagram to share a video in which director Kabir Khan fed him Rasmalai to mark the end of the journey on a sweet note. Kartik, initially taken aback by the unexpected gesture, went on to enjoy the sweet offered to him and reciprocated with a warm hug for his director. The rest of the crew was visibly delighted, expressing their joy through cheers and smiles, making it a heartwarming and sweet moment on set.

Sharing the video, Kartik mentioned that he tasted sugar after over one year of intense preparation for his role in the forthcoming film.

He wrote, ‘This RasMalai Tasted Like Victory ! Finally eating sugar after a year !! After more than a year of intense preparation and 8 months of day-n-night shoots across the globe, today we complete the shooting journey of #ChanduChampion. And it couldn’t have been sweeter than my fav, Rasmalai - from the Man himself who carved this challenging path for me… you have been a profound inspiration Sir! @kabirkhankk (red heart emoticon)’

For the role of Chandu Champion, Kartik underwent a physical transformation to portray the real-life story of a sportsman.

First look of ‘Chandu Champion’

Kartik revealed the initial glimpse of his upcoming film, ‘Chandu Champion,’ in August of the previous year. In the unveiled first look, Kartik was showcased wearing the India blazer, sporting short hair, and portraying an intense expression, complemented by minor injury marks on his face. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 14, 2024, coinciding with Eid-al-Adha on June 16, 2024. This marks another Eid release for Kartik.

Kartik Aaryan was last seen in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, which was directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Sajid's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It also starred Kiara Advani, Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, Shikha Talsania, Anuradha Patel and Rajpalm Yadav among others. The film was received positively and performed well at the box office.
