Actor Deepika Padukone took to social media on August 8 to celebrate 10 years of her film 'Chennai Express'. She shared a hilarious throwback video in which she recreated the 'Bakwas dictionary' scene with Ranveer Singh.
Sharing the video, Deepika wrote that it was quite a challenge to play Meenama in 'Chennai Express'.
She wrote, “They say that comedy is the most difficult genre for an actor. So when I was offered Chennai Express, I knew I had a daunting challenge ahead of me. And while it took me a little while to find Meenama, a process that is extremely lonely and often times frightening, I’m grateful that we were able to create a character that is not only synonymous with the movie, but also one that continues to receive an abundance of love till this date.”
'Chennai Express', directed by Rohit Shetty, also starred Shah Rukh Khan. The movie revolved around the story of two strangers who meet under chaotic circumstances.
The film was widely praised for its comic brilliance and went on to become a massive box-office success.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in 'Pathaan'. She will next be seen in Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. She also has Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter' with Hrithik Roshan in the pipeline.
