'RRR': Chiranjeevi is proud of son Ram Charan as he has a chance of being nominated for Oscar 2023

Chiranjeevi, who currently promoting his upcoming film 'GodFather', talked about his son Ram Charan's chances of winning an Oscar for 'RRR'. At a recent press conference in Mumbai along with Salman Khan, who will make a cameo in his forthcoming movie, Chiranjeevi said, ‘It's a proud moment for me. I am really happy. These days should come and it was agony back then. And it is not because of Charan only. It is a collective effort. Director Rajamouli tried to hit the bull's eye and get the attention. It even has the probability of Oscars, it's a really proud moment for me.’ 

'RRR' likely to be nominated in two categories, as per Variety's Oscars 2023 prediction list. Jr NTR and Ram Charan could be nominated in the Best Actors category, as shown in the predicted list. The Academy will be announcing the Oscar nominations in the coming months.  

Ram Charan played the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju in 'RRR'. His performance was really liked by the audience and the film became a superhit not only at the Indian box office but globally as well.

Chiranjeevi's 'GodFather' will be released in theatres on October 5.
