Crew box office collection day 2: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu & Kriti Sanon's film is unstoppable

After a flying start on its opening day, Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Crew' further performed magic at the ticket window on Day 2, showing an improvement of 3.78 per cent on Saturday. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film has garnered rave reviews both from the critics and the moviegoers. 

'Crew' box office: India collection 

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Crew' minted around Rs 9.60 crore on Saturday. The film collected Rs 9.25 crore net on its opening day. With the latest numbers, the total collection of the film in India now stands at Rs 19.88 crore. Earlier, the makers announced that Crew had collected Rs 20.07 crore worldwide on the opening day. 

On Saturday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the opening day box office numbers of 'Crew'. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote, “#Crew pulls off the BIGGEST SURPRISE of 2024… Smashes ALL pre-release predictions by a wide margin… Silences ALL pessimists who doubted/undermined its #BO potential… Fri ₹ 10.28 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

“The superb start - aided by #GoodFriday holiday - also holds a lot of significance because #Crew was facing the #Hollywood giant #GodzillaXKong… All eyes on Sat - Sun biz,” Taran Adarsh added.

Kareena Kapoor on the box office success of 'Crew' 

Sharing the numbers on Saturday on Instagram, Kareena Kapoor wrote, "Round 2 with @rheakapoor, @ektarkapoor and me…What started with Veere Di Wedding and now continues with CREW. So lucky to be on board with these lovely ladies @kritisanon, @tabutiful & the amazing @rajoosworld. We got this."

About 'Crew'

Touted as a heist comedy, 'Crew' follows three air hostesses who work for a struggling airline. Fed up with the monotony of their middle-class lives, the trio plans a heist to earn a lot of money but soon finds themselves caught in a web of lies.
