Days after grandson Karan Deol’s wedding, veteran actor Dharmendra took to Instagram to apologise to his wife Hema Malini, and their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Dharmendra wrote, ‘Esha, Ahana, Hema and all my darling kids… loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s I love you and respect you all from the core of my heart… age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to to you…. but (folded hands emoji).’

Esha has reacted to Dharmendra’s apology. Sharing a picture from her wedding, she wrote, ‘Love you papa . You are the best. Love you unconditionally & you know that . Cheer up & always be happy & healthy. Love u.’

Karan, son of actor Sunny Deol, tied the knot with Drisha Acharya on June 18 in the presence of his family and close friends. However, Hema Malini, Esha, and Ahana were missing from all ceremonies.

For the unaware, prior to his marriage with Hema Malini, Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur. He has four children with Prakash - sons Sunny and Bobby and daughters Vijeeta and Ajeita.

It is rumoured that Hema Malini’s family was invited to Karan’s wedding, but they chose to skip the celebrations.

Esha Deol recently wished her step-nephew and Drisha in her Instagram Story. She wrote, ‘Congratulations, Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. Lots of love.’

On the work front, Dharmendra will soon be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ along with Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The movie will release in theatres on July 28.
