It is double the celebration at the Deol household with Dharmendra’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ ruling the box office.
Now, in a recent interview with Times Now, Dharmendra has said that his family doesn’t ‘market’ itself and believes in letting their work speak for them.
He said Sunny Deol, despite being a part of two of the biggest blockbusters, has never boasted about them.
Dharmendra added that his family has never been given their due. He said that his family thrives on the love of their fans and ‘don’t mind’ the industry not recognising their contribution to the Hindi cinema.
Sunny Deol’s latest release ‘Gadar 2’ has been wreaking havoc at box office records ever since its release on August 11. The film earned over Rs 300 crore in the domestic market within seven days of its release. The actioner is the second film of the year to cross the Rs 300 cr mark after Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’.
On the other hand, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has brought a lot of love and adulation to Dharmendra for his role as Ranveer Singh’s grandfather in the movie. His on-screen chemistry with Shabana Azmi is also appreciated by many.
