Akshay Kumar hit the headlines on August 21 after a report claimed that he stepped forward to help Sunny Deol with his loan repayment to save his Juhu home. Now, Akshay’s spokesperson has reacted to the news, claiming that reports are ‘absolutely untrue’.
For the unversed, a bank issued a notice on August 20 that Sunny’s Juhu home will be e-auctioned to recover a loan of around ₹56 crore given to the actor. Soon after the news surfaced, Bollywood Hungama claimed that Akshay has come to Sunny’s rescue, and allegedly offered to pay a ‘huge chunk’ of the loan.
‘As part of the deal, Sunny Deol will then repay the loan to Akshay Kumar in a stipulated time,’ read the report.
A day later, the bank withdrew the auction notice for the Juhu bungalow and claimed that there was a technical glitch.
On the work front, Sunny Deol-starer ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer ‘OMG 2’ released on the same day, on August 11, and both the films are performing well at the box office.
After ‘OMG 2’, Akshay Kumar has the official remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, a biopic ‘The Great Indian Rescue’, and ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’, his Marathi debut in the pipeline.
Akshay has also started shooting for multiple projects set to release in 2024 which includes the much-awaited ‘Hera Pheri sequel’.
