Diljit Dosanjh’s first performance at Coachella: Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, and others react

Diljit Dosanjh scripted history as he became the first Punjabi singer to perform at The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, one of the most profitable music events in the world. He impressed the audience with his energy and singing. Pictures and videos from the concert show that Diljit’s hit songs even made DJ Diplo dance to the beats with his friends.

Actors Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Sonam Kapoor have praised Diljit Dosanjh for his historic performance at the music festival in California. Alia, who worked with Diljit in ‘Udta Punjab’ (2016), called his performance 'epic', while Sonam shared that she wished she could have seen it live.

Kareena, who has worked with Diljit in movies like ‘Good Newwz’ and ‘Udta Punjab’, shared a video of his performance and wrote, ‘The OG’ along with heart and star emojis.

Several other celebrities also praised Diljit for his career achievement.

Besides Diljit, Pakistani singer-composer Ali Sethi is the other South Asian artist who made his debut at the festival. His last music album was ‘MoonChild Era’ in 2021.

Diljit Dosanjh recently completed the shoot of ‘Chamkila’ biopic, directed by Imtiaz Ali. He also has the Punjabi film ‘Jodi’ releasing in May. The singer will also be shooting for the comedy, ‘The Crew’, with Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
