Director Sajid Khan was forced to issue a video statement today as he was bombarded with phone calls after the news of death of Mother India child actor and his namesake surfaced. His clarification comes as film industry lost actor Sajid Khan, who portrayed the role of younger Sunil Dutt in the film 'Mother India'. Sajid Khan clarified that 'he is alive' and doing fine.
In his video statement on Instagram, 'Housefull' director clarified that he has been receiving lot of phone calls enquiring about his well-being after the news of actor Sajid Khan’s demise came out. He said that the late actor was 20 years older than him. The filmmaker also paid condolences to the deceased actor and said, “May that Sajid Khan’s soul genuinely rest in peace”.
Director Sajid Khan is Farah Khan’s brother. Known for ‘Housefull’ series, he has directed several other films and was also seen in TV Show Bigg Boss.
On the other hand, actor Sajid Khan who played the younger 'Birju' in the Oscars nominated film 'Mother India' passed away on December 22. He also worked in the international films like ‘Maya’ and ‘The Singing Filipina’. The late actor was battling cancer for a while.
