The first trailer of 'Do Aur Do Pyaar' has been released. The movie stars Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Vidya Balan and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. It is directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, in her directorial debut.
The trailer begins with Balan and Gandhi, a married couple, having marriage trouble. In the next frame, we can see both, the husband and the wife, are indulged in extra-marital affairs. While Vidya rediscovers romance with Sendhil Ramamurthy, sparks fly high between Gandhi and Ileana D'Cruz. When pressured by their respective partners to get out of their unhappy marriage, the two plan a tell-all. However, just when they prepare to drop the bomb, they find themselves confused and consumed all over again. After some date nights and deep conversations, the couple realises their love hasn't completely worn off. Adding more to confusion, Ileana reveals she and Pratik are expecting a child together.
Sharing the film's trailer on social media, Vidya Balan wrote, "Buckle up, 'cuz it's time to double the fun and romance with Do Aur Do Pyaar. #DoAurDoPyaarTrailer Out Now. Releasing in cinemas on 19th April 2024. the makers shared poster from the film on Friday and they captioned it, "Tomorrow's forecast: Romance will bloom and pyaar will cause confusion! Do Aur Do Pyaar Trailer Out Tomorrow. Releasing in cinemas on 19th April 2024."
'Do Aur Do Pyaar' is bankrolled by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Swati Iyer Chawla. The film was initially slated to release on March 29.
The project was announced in 2021. At the time, director Shirsha Guha Thakurta said, "When I first heard this story, I was instantly attracted to its universe- honest, funny and so today. The actors have been a dream to work with. Their generosity is something I will always cherish. My producers (Applause and Ellipsis) have been extremely supportive and stood by me like a rock. Yes, I'm nervous, but this journey so far has been truly special."
