In the extortion case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Jacqueline Fernandez's assets worth ₹7.27 crore as per a report by ANI. Fixed deposits of ₹7.12 crore of Jacqueline Fernandez are among the assets attached.

Sukesh allegedly gave Jacqueline gifts worth ₹5.71 crore using the extorted money, according to the ED. He also gave roughly 173,000 US Dollars and around 27,000 Australian Dollars to her close family members.

Sukesh was detained by the ED last year for impersonating an official from the Home Ministry and the Law Ministry to extort ₹215 crore from a Delhi businessman's wife. The ED had called Jacqueline for questioning in connection with Sukesh's case. In October 2021, Jacqueline appeared in front of the ED and was interrogated for hours.

According to the case's chargesheet, Sukesh also gave gifts to Jacqueline Fernandez worth over ₹10 crore.
