Salman Khan and filmmaker AR Murugadoss' upcoming movie is titled 'Sikandar.' Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will hit theaters on Eid 2025. Salman Khan revealed the title on Instagram on the occasion of Eid along with a poster.
Taking to Instagram, Salman shared the title slate that read, ‘Sajid Nadiadwala presents Salman Khan in and as Sikandar.’
Sharing the title, Salman gave a shoutout to this year’s Eid releases, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’.
‘Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!,’ he wrote.
In a recent interview with Times Of India, A R Murugadoss teased the film. He said, ‘In addition to high-octane action sequences, it will be packed with emotions and also carry a powerful social message. It will be a pan-India film. Audiences can expect to see a new kind of Salman Khan in this film.’
He added, ‘Salman and I had discussed this project five years ago, but due to circumstances, we couldn’t proceed at that time. Recently, he asked for another narration. After that, he said that the script gave him a good vibe and asked if we could start working on it immediately.’
Pinkvilla reported that 'Sikander' will be filmed in Portugal and other European countries, with some portions shot in India. The film boasts a massive budget of Rs 400 crore, making it Sajid Nadiadwala's most ambitious project.
