Esha Deol and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, have announced their separation after 11 years of marriage. As per a joint statement, the couple said that the separation is 'amicable.' Esha is the eldest daughter of Bollywood couple Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Parents to two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, Esha and Bharat tied the knot in 2012.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have decided to part ways after over a decade of marriage. The couple issued a joint statement to the Delhi Times that read, 'We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children are and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy being respected.'

Trouble in Paradise

The speculations about Esha and Bharat's divorce were first rife when he was seemingly missing from Hema Malini's birthday last year. Later, it was revealed that he didn't attend Esha's birthday celebrations either. Esha was also seen celebrating Diwali with her daughter without her husband, which fueled the divorce speculations.

Esha and Bharat's love story began when they were teenagers. While they studied in different schools, they crossed paths during an inter-school competition and exchanged numbers. As they began to explore their professional endeavours, they lost contact. Ten years later, the former sweethearts met again and rekindled their romance. When they reconnected, they decided to take the big plunge. Their lavish wedding was a star-studded event attended by the who's who of Bollywood.
