Actor Faisal Khan has once again gone on record to level accusations against his brother-actor Aamir Khan. In a recent interview the actor revealed why he refused to participate in the upcoming season of ‘Bigg Boss’ and claimed that he was ‘caged’ in Aamir’s house once and he doesn’t ‘intend to get caged again.’
Speaking with ETimes, Faisal said, ‘In Bigg Boss, everyone is pitted against each other, they fight, argue and then you’re also given tasks. They play with you mentally. I didn’t want to get trapped in that zone. They give you some money but by Allah’s grace I don’t need much money. So, I thought why should I get caged? Who likes being caged? Everyone likes a free life. That’s fun, you know. Qaid hone mein mazaa nahin hai (there’s no fun in being caged). I have been caged once in Aamir’s house. I don’t intend to get caged again. I want to live free and flow like water.’
When asked what his opinion was on the backlash and criticism Aamir faced at the time of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’s release, Faisal said that Aamir should have apologised to the audience earlier and not when the film was about to release. He appreciated that the ‘PK’ actor apologised for his statements, and said that there is no harm in apologising.
‘Yes, it was right to apologise. No person knows everything in life. There’s no harm in apologising and correcting yourself. You become a better human being after that. He should have apologised immediately after that thing came out, not when his film was releasing. That seems opportunistic. But if someone doesn’t realise that they might have hurt someone then I don’t know about that. Because you don’t know when realisation dawns upon someone,’ he told ETimes
In 2007-08, Faisal fought a legal battle with his family. After the court’s verdict favouring him, Faisal in an interview with Hindustan Times had said that he under house arrest and unwanted drugs were given to him.
Faisal has starred in several films like ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Madhosh’, and ‘Mela’ among others. He was also part of a TV serial ‘Aandhi’ in 2003.
