Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Don', helmed by Farhan Akhtar, was released in theatres 16 years ago on October 20. The film was a remake of a Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 classic of the same. Actor-director Farhan shared a video featuring the ‘Don’ theme music and graphic footage of the first film.
Taking to Instagram, Farhan wrote 'Happy birthday Don. 16 years and counting (sic).'
As soon as the video was shared, the comment section was flooded with users demanding ‘Don 3’. Famous comedian Sapan Verma also commented and wrote 'We want Don 3. #iykyk' while another user wrote 'Please tell me this is a hint for the next one'.
'Don 2' released in 2011 and was even a bigger success than the original. The film set a benchmark for action and thriller films. Towards the end of the movie, Farhan had teased 'Don 3' by writing it on the license plate of Don's motor bike. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film.
