Happy Birthday Asha Bhosle : Legendary singer Asha Bhosle needs no introduction as she has delivered several hits in her illustrious musical journey spanning over six decades. She is one of India’s most loved voices. Asha ji has been honoured with Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, IIFA Lifetime Achievement Award and also the National Award amongst others. In 2011, she was officially declared as the Most Recorded Artist in Music History by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Asha Bhosle is also received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

‘Abhi Na Jao Chodkar’ (Hum Dono)

The song from the 1961 film ‘Hum Dono’ remains a favourite of many even after decades. The heartfelt track featured Sadhana and Dev Anand and it was voiced by Asha Bhosle along with Mohammad Rafi. The lyrics of the song were penned by Sahir Ludhianvi.

‘Dum Maro Dum’ (Hare Rama Hare Krishna)

The 1971 Bollywood film Hare Rama Hare Krishna remains relevant in pop culture even today. And a large part of the credit for this goes to Asha Bhosle's rendition of Dum Maro Dum featuring Zeenat Aman. The song has been recreated many times, but the original continues to remain iconic.

Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)

The peppy song from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s 1995 film has been sung by Asha Bhosle along with Abhijeet Bhattacharya. The lyrics have been written by Anand Bakshi and music composed by Jatin-Lalit.

‘Radha Kaise Na Jale’ (Lagaan)

This song from Ashutosh Gowariker’s super-hit film ‘Lagaan’ is about the banter between Lord Krishna and Radha. It has been sung by the legendary singer along with Udit Narayan and its music has been composed by Oscar-winner musician A.R Rahman. The beautiful track features actors Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh.

‘Roj Roj Aankon Tale’ (Jeeva) 

One of the most romantic songs of Bollywood is from the film 1986 film ‘Jeeva’. It highlights the love story of Mandakini and Sanjay Dutt’s characters Jeevan Thakur and Nalini. The song has been crooned by Asha Bhosle along with Amit Kumar. Its lyrics have been written by Gulzar and music composed by RD Burman.
