From representing India on Cannes jury to unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy with footballing icon Iker Casillas it the finals, 2022 was filled with achievements for Deepika Padukone. As the Bollywood star celebrates her birthday on January 5, let’s take a look at her upcoming films.

Pathaan

Pathaan – Deepika’s first release of 2023 – is already courting controversy with some sections objecting to the actor wearing an orange outfit in the song ‘Besharam Rang’. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer-espionage film also has John Abraham along with Deepika Padukone and will hit the theatres on January 25, 2023.

Pathaan might be the only confirmed release of Deepika in 2023 but it is a busy year for the actor as she is working on multiple projects.

Singham 3

Deepika will star in Rohit Shetty’s much-loved cop universe as Lady Singham in ‘Singham Again’. She will be seen playing the first lady cop in the franchise with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as daredevil cop Bajirao Singham. The film will mark the actors’ first on-screen collaboration. ‘Singham 3’ is expected to go on floors in mid-2023.

Fighter

The most loved actors of B-Town, Deepika and Hrithik Roshan, will come together for the first time with this film. Deepika will play the role of an Indian Air Force pilot in ‘Fighter’. The movie also stars actor Anil Kapoor and is touted to be India's first aerial action thriller film. Written and directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie will release on January 25, 2024.

Project K

Deepika will be seen along with ‘Bahubali’ actor Prabhas in director Nag Ashwin’s ‘Project K’. The action film also stars Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal role. It is said to be the costliest movie of the production house, Vyjayanthi Movies and the biggest action film of Hindi cinema. The shooting of ‘Project K’ is expected to be completed this year and will hit the theatres in 2024.
