Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is one of the most bankable actors in the industry, is celebrating her 42nd birthday today. She has carved a niche for herself, by adapting to the changing times, and choosing films that leave an impact on the audience. Here’s taking a look at some of her most memorable movies.

Jab We Met (2007)

Kareena portrayed the role of Geet, a bubbly Punjabi girl, in the Imtiaz Ali directorial. She befriends Aditya, a heartbroken business tycoon, on a train and he finds himself pulled into her crazy life. This breezy romantic comedy won several awards, including a National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer, which was awarded to Shreya Ghoshal for the song ‘Yeh Ishq Haaye’.

3 Idiots (2009)

The Rajkummar Hirani directorial starred Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. The film revolved around the lives of three engineering students who attend one of India’s premier colleges and struggle to beat the stringent system.

Udta Punjab (2016)

Kareena portrayed the role of a doctor in this comedy crime drama, co-starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. The Abhishek Chaubey directorial narrates the interwoven tales of a cop, a doctor, a migrant worker and a rock star, who struggled to cope with the drug issue in Punjab, India.

Chameli (2003)

Kareena Kapoor played the role of a prostitute named Chameli. She comes across an investment banker, Aman, whose car breaks down in the red light district during a downpour in Mumbai. The duo forms a bond and talks about life as they take shelter from the rain.

Omkara (2006)

The action drama film starred Kareena alongside Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Vivek Oberoi. She played the role of Dolly Mishra in the Vishal Bharadwaj directorial.

The film revolves around Omkara, a gangster, who falls in love with Dolly. However, his close aide Tyagi tries to create a misunderstanding between them.

The film won three National Awards and seven Filmfare Awards.

Aitraaz (2004)

Kareena Kapoor played the role of advocate Priya Saxena Malhotra in this romantic thriller. She defends her husband Raj in court after he is falsely accused of sexual assault by his boss and former girlfriend Sonia.
