Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of two superstars Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia and is married to actor Akshay Kumar. She herself was a leading actor in the industry, who achieved success with movies like ‘Baadshaah’, ’Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai’, ‘Barsaat’, ‘Itihaas’ and many more. In 2001, she quit acting after getting married to the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood.
Over the years, Twinkle has donned many hats - that of an author, columnist, interior designer, and film producer.

Left industry for passion
Twinkle bid adieu to her acting career to follow her heart and her passion for interior designing.
She opened her own interior design store at Crawford Market, Mumbai called The White Window, in partnership with her longtime friend Gurlein Manchanda. The store has received a prestigious Elle Decor International Design Award (from Indian edition of Elle Decor magazine).
Twinkle has also done the interiors of several celebrity homes including Rani Mukerji's spacious bungalow.
Venturing into production
Twinkle is the co-founder of Grazing Goat Pictures. She has co-produced Akshay Kumar-led films ‘Tees Maar Khan’ (2010) and ‘Patiala House’ (2011), ‘Thank You’ (2011), ‘Khiladi 786’ (2012), and ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ (2014).
In 2016, she launched her own production house Mrs. Funnybones Movies which eventually co-produced ‘Pad Man’ that went on to win the 2018 National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues.
A noted author and columnist
Twinkle is also a noted columnist and author. She is well-known for her humorous take on things and her witty replies.
Twinkle has released three novels ‘Pyjamas are Forgiving’, 'The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad' and 'Mrs Funnybones'.
Her first non-fiction book, ‘Mrs Funnybones’, which released in 2015, was declared a bestseller, making Twinkle India’s highest-selling woman writer that year.
Twinkle advocates menstrual hygiene
Twinkle joined hands with Save the Children to promote the right to menstrual hygiene among children and slum communities. In 2018, she was invited to speak at the University of Oxford. She was also invited to be a part of an eminent panel at the United Nations, New York and also appeared on BBC world Impact show to talk about menstrual hygiene and sanitation globally
Founder of Tweak India
In 2019, Twinkle Khanna launched Tweak India, a bilingual digital platform, which talks to women about every aspect of their lives.
