Punjabi star Harrdy Sandhu, who is a former cricketer and was even selected for India’s U-19 World Cup team, is making his Bollywood debut with the sports drama, 83' which stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev.
Hardy will be essaying the role of Madan Lal. Before becoming a singer, he tried his luck in cricket.
"I played for around 10 years. I have played for the U-19 cricket team with Shikhar Dhawan. He was my roommate, and I have also played with Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma. But in 2006, I had an elbow injury. I was a fast bowler and the injury was on my right arm. I tried to get treatment here, but kuch hua nahi," he was quoted as saying by Circle of Bollywood."
Interestingly, Harrdy Sandhu was trained by Sir Madan Lal himself during his time spent in Bangalore’s national camp.
He played for 10 years but his dream came down crashing after an elbow injury.
