Actor and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was overjoyed as his IPL team won the play-offs to qualify for the IPL 2024 finals. Videos of him jumping with joy went viral, and another video of him leading the victory lap at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad caught everyone’s attention.
SRK, joined by his children Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan, accidentally ran into Suresh Raina and Akaash Chopra’s live broadcast and immediately apologized, admitting his attention was on the fans.
He then greeted the two former cricketers, and the adorable video won the internet.
Suresh Raina also shared photos of the moment on X and showered Shah Rukh with love.
‘It was wonderful catching up with the always humble @iamsrk today. Despite his superstar status, he maintains his down-to-earth demeanor, showcasing humility in every interaction. Congratulations to KKR for making it to the finals! #KKR,’ he shared.
KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets, securing their spot in their fourth IPL final. Recently, KKR star spinner Varun Chakaravarthy praised Shah Rukh Khan for making a ‘huge impact’ amid controversies surrounding team owners and players in the Indian Premier League (IPL). “SRK has been present in almost all matches in Kolkata. Even in the match where we didn’t do well, he came to the dressing room and spoke to every player for an hour and hugged everyone,” Chakaravarthy said.
Throughout the season, videos of Shah Rukh encouraging his players with speeches in the dressing room have also been surfacing, showing he’s playing a pivotal role in keeping the team's spirits high off the ground.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ along with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. According to reports, he will be next seen in ‘The King’ with his daughter Suhana Khan.
