As India celebrates its 74th Republic Day today, a day that evokes patriotic fervors, here’s a look at some evergreen songs which pay tribute to heroes of India’s freedom struggle.

Teri Mitti (Kesari)

This soulful track has been sung by B Praak. Manoj Muntashir penned its beautiful lyrics and Arko Pravo Mukherjee composed the music. The song, featuring Akshay Kumar, touched everyone’s heart and soul.

Ae Watan (Raazi)

The melodious song is in the voice of Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan. Its music has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Gulzar, and lyrics penned by Allama Iqbal. The song depicts the unconditional love for one's country.

Main Ladh Jaava (Uri)

The song is sure to give you goosebumps. It is sung by Romy, Vivek Hariharan, and Shashwat Sachdev and written by Kumaar. ‘Main Ladh Jaava’ has been beautifully blended with the Punjabi folk song ‘Challa’.

Bharat (Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi)

This song is a must-play on Independence day. It has been crooned by Shankar Mahadevan, written by Parson Joshi, and composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. This melodious track starred Kangana Ranaut and it reflected the spirit of Indians to fight for the nation.

Desh Mera ( Bhuj: The Pride of India)

The song has been voiced by Arijit Singh. It's music by Arko and the lyrics are written by Manoj Muntashir. Featuring Ajay Devgan the song amplifies the emotions of nations’ love.

Vande Mataram (ABCD )

This dance number is sung by Daler Mehndi, Tanishka Sanghvi, Badshah, and Divya Kumar and the lyrics are penned by Mayur Puri. Composed by Sachin-Jigar, the song is a patriotic emotion with its inspiring rhythm. Its lyrics leave nation lovers spellbound.
