Sridevi didn’t want her to become an actor
In an interview with Indian Express, Janhvi revealed Sridevi was not keen about her joining the film industry and wanted her to become a doctor. ‘When I was a kid, she really wanted me to become a doctor. I don’t know why, and I was like, ‘I am sorry mom, but I don’t have the intellect to become a doctor.’ She also said that it was her father who eased Sridevi into the idea of her joining Bollywood.
Her love for Indian classical dance form, Kathak
During the filming of her debut film ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi Kapoor was introduced to Kathak. In an interview with Forbes, the actor revealed that she has been in and out of Kathak classes very sporadically even after ‘Dhadak’ and she has always found it most therapeutic.

Did you know she’s also a poet?
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Janhvi's ‘Dhadak’ co-star Ishaan Khatter revealed that she writes a lot, especially poetry. To this, Janhvi responded that it's ‘very therapeutic’ to her.
Her secret trip to Vegas
On Kareena Kapoor Khan's talk show, Janhvi disclosed that she once went on an impromptu trip to Vegas without her father’s knowledge. She said, ‘I lied to him and I told him that I was going for a movie, but took a flight to Vegas from LA. I roamed around Vegas and took the flight back in the morning and he didn’t know. But I think that was the thrill of it.’
Her dream wedding destination
In an interview with Vogue, Janhvi shared that Tirupati is her dream destination for her future wedding. She said that she wants something that’s real and intimate and close to who she is.
‘I already know my wedding is going to be really traditional and will happen in Tirupati. I’m going to wear a Kanjeevaram zari sari and there’s going to be a full daawat after the wedding with all the South Indian food that I love... idli, sambhar, curd rice, and kheer,’ she said.
