Ira Khan shares glimpses from her pre-wedding celebrations with Nupur Shikhare: watch

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta's daughter Ira, who is all set to marry her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare, has shared inside glimpses of her early wedding festivities on December 26. She shared pictures and videos from her ‘Maharashtrian Kelvan.’ 

Ira looks gorgeous in a maroon saree with a golden blouse, while Nupur is seen in a traditional kurta pyjama with a turban.

In one of her Instagram stories, Ira shared a video of her family enjoying a traditional Maharashtrian meal on a banana leaf. While sharing the post, she wrote, “My God guys, get married to a Maharashtrian and get a Kelvan. How fun is this?” 

Though Aamir gave the event a miss, his ex-wife Kiran Rao, and their son Azad Rao Khan were present. Ira’s friend Mithila Palkar also shared some pictures on social media. While sharing the first picture, she wrote, “The wedding festivities have begun!” In her next Instagram story, she wrote, “Let’s get you guys married!.” 

Aamir Khan had opened up about Ira's wedding in a recent interview. In an chat with News18, Aamir said, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai. (I’m extremely emotional, and I’m going to cry a lot at Ira’s wedding, that’s for sure). Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.” 

There are reports that Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3.
