Kajol's 48th Birthday  : Kajol is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. She is known for her extraordinary acting skills, outspokenness, and chirpy nature. The actor holds a radiant career graph and she has won the highest number of Filmfare awards in the Best Actress category.  She has been also awarded the Padma Shri for her contribution to Indian Cinema by the Government of India. Recently, Kajol has been invited to be a member of the Oscars committee.

Let's take a look at some of Kajol's best films:

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Kajol starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in this iconic film and the duo went on to become an all-time favorite on-screen couple. Kajol portrayed the role of Simran, a simple innocent girl, who falls in love with Raj during a vacation in Europe. She returns to India for an arranged marriage and Raj decides to fly down from London to win over not just his bride but also her family, especially her father Baldev Singh.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kajol portrayed the role of Anjali Sharma, who was head over heels in love with her college best friend Rahul, played by SRK. However, she is left heartbroken when she discovers that he is in love with someone else. Years later, Rahul’s daughter, as per her mother’s last wish, reunites him with Anjali.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Kajol played the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl in this family drama. Her comic timing impressed the audience and her dialogue ‘bade mazaakiya ho tussi’ became quite popular. The film highlights the story of Rahul Raichand (Shah Rukh Khan) who is disowned by his father (Amitabh Bachchan) for marrying a girl of lower status. Years later, his younger brother Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) embarks on a mission to bring Rahul back home and reunite the family.

Fanaa

This film marked Kajol’s comeback to the big screen after five years of maternity leave. It narrated the story of Zooni, a blind Kashmiri girl, who falls in love with a local Delhi tour guide, played by Aamir Khan. A few years after marriage she realizes that Rehan has another side to him, something that can destroy her life.

My Name is Khan

Kajol played the role of a single mom, Mandira, who falls in love with Rizwan Khan, an autistic Muslim man. After her son is killed in an assault, Mandira blames Rizwan for her plight and tries to solve the case with help of a detective.

Dushman

Kajol featured in a dual role in this crime thriller. The film narrates the story of twins Sonia and Naina. The former gets raped and brutally killed by the antagonist Gokul and Naina sets out to avenge her sister's death with the help of retired Major Suraj Singh Rathod, played by Sanjay Dutt.
