Actor Jacqueline Fernandez addressed the recent fire incident at her apartment via Instagram Stories and assured fans all is well. She mentioned that was away when the incident happened and expressed gratitude for the prompt rescue of her cats and the support from those involved.
‘Thank you for all the concern and love as there was a fire at my apartment building last night. Fortunately, we are all safe and unharmed (even the furry friends),’ she said.
‘Currently, I am in Colombo for the Opening of Legends Cricket Trophy. Thank you to the rescue operations that were carried out swiftly, ensuring that everyone was evacuated to safety. I want to express my gratitude for your concern and love during this time. Your support means everything to me and has always been my strength! God bless,’ she added.
According to reports, emergency responders swiftly dispatched four fire engines, three jumbo tankers, and one breathing apparatus van to Jacqueline Fernandez's 17-story high-rise residence. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Locals indicated that the fire started in a kitchen on the building's 13th floor. Fernandez's residence, reportedly a luxurious 5 BHK apartment, was among those affected by the incident.
‘The fire broke out in the residential building situated on Nargis Dutt Road at around 8 PM,’ a civic official was quoted as saying by PTI.
According to the caller, the fire is contained within a room on the 14th floor of the Nawroj Hill Society. It's worth noting that Jacqueline Fernandez acquired this luxurious new residence in the prestigious Pali Hill neighborhood of Bandra West, Mumbai, in 2023.
Jacqueline last made a cameo appearance in ‘Selfiee’, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi. She will next be seen in the film ‘Fateh’.
