Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Ulajh', previously slated for release on July 5, will now have an August release, makers announced on Monday. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the film also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Meiyang Chang, Adil Hussain and Sachin Khedekar. It will see Janhvi take on the role of an Indian Foreign Services (IFS) officer.
On Monday, the makers of Ulaj took to Instagram to drop a new date for the film. Instead of July 5, the film will now be released in theatres on August 2. Although the makers refrained from revealing the reason behind the dealy, it could be to avoid a clash with 'Kalki 2898 AD' starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, which has promised a box office storm with advance booking numbers. Janhvi, sharing the new release date, wrote, "#Ulajh is now set to release on 2nd August in cinemas near you! See you guys with popcorn soon! (sic)."
Janhvi was last seen in 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' along with Rajkummar Rao. She is also awaiting her Pan-India debut with 'Devara' led by Jr NTR. The actor will reunite with her 'Bawaal' co-star Varun Dhawan for the upcoming film 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari'.
